Wedding time – lets plan, the engagement is past and we have a wedding to plan. This is the most exciting time of your life, lots of decisions to make as you dream about your wedding. You’ve picked your theme, Your Pinterest board is bulging at the seams with your ideas and colours. You have chosen your dress, your bridesmaids and bestmen are all sorted now comes the budget planning for your wedding.

Now we ask – what to do now?

Figures and sheets – all so confusing – ask us for help but here are a few pointers – like sticking to your budget. When it becomes overwhelming give us a call and we will help.

Step 1 - Only spend what you can afford

Your budget is critical – stick to it, splurge a little but remember you don’t want to end up in debt. Starting married life with a huge debt is not worth it. Guests remember your wedding fleetingly, you remember it for a life time. We can help you stabilize your budget and give you and your guests an experience to remember.

Step 2 – Who is paying for what

Weddings can be costly but sticking to the budget helps. To know who is paying for what and contributing is essential. You need to find out what everything is going to cost, draw up a budget sheet and you will know where you stand.

Step 3 – Percentages and catagories – help

Once you know your final number you can go ahead and work your money into percentages. These will vary slightly once you have consulted your service providers. The wedding co-ordinator at our venue will help you. Every Bride and Groom will have percentages that differ. Remember this is only a guide line, move your percentages around to suit your needs.

Step 5 – Keep an emergency fund
